| 0
The School of Life Sciences held a workshop on 24 th January 2019 for their senior Biochemistry and Microbiology students on how to apply to graduate schools abroad. The School, which currently has around 200 students, is the fastest growing School and IUB and feels it is important for students to receive guidance while they make post-graduation plans. SLS faculty members Dr. Muntasir Billah, Mr. Ornob Alam, and Ms. Afreen Zaman Khan, took the students through the process of applying to Master’s and Ph.D. programs in the US, Australia, and other countries, and reviewed the prospects of working in those countries following completion of graduate school. It is imperative that students who hope to become successful researchers and professionals in the modern
life sciences receive exposure to the most cutting-edge research in the field abroad. The workshop was an interactive and dynamic way of ensuring that students are equipped with the necessary information on applications, programs, and scholarships for the top universities abroad.
